Jonah 1:16, “The sailors were awestruck by the Lord’s great power, and they offered Him a sacrifice and vowed to serve Him”.
Dear Missy, vowing to take time out to serve God can seem to be a sacrifice at times, but the “power” we gain is worth anything we lay down.
I love you, Daddy
Micah 3:8, “But as for me, I am filled with power and the spirit of the Lord. I am filled with justice and might, fearlessly pointing out Israel’s sin and rebellion”.
Dear Missy, by being full of the power of the Lord we notice more of the world’s sin and rebellion, but because we are filled with the Spirit of God, we are only spectators of it. Amen!
I love you, Daddy
Micah 7:16, All nations of the world will stand amazed at what the Lord will do for you. They will be embarrassed that their power is so insignificant. They will stand in silent awe, deaf to everything around them.
Dear Missy, just re-read the above! Wow!
I love you, Daddy
Nahum 1:3, “The Lord is slow to get angry, but His power is great, and He never lets the guilty go unpunished. He displays His power in the whirlwind and the storm. The billowing clouds are the dust beneath His feet.
Dear Missy, we serve a “great” and “powerful” God! He is just and He is truth!
I love you, Daddy
